Lok Sabha pays homage to late E. Ahamed

New Delhi: Sumitra Mahajan, the Lok Sabha speaker led the house members in paying homage to the late Union Minister E. Ahamed who passed away today in the morning following a cardiac arrest.

Lok Sabha observed two minutes silence to pay homage to the late E. Ahamed today in the morning.

E. Ahamed, a former Union Minister and a long-time Kerala MP from Indian Union Minister League was admitted to the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital following a cardiac arrest in the Parliament’s Central Hall while President Pranab Mukherjee was addressing the members.

The 78-year-old died early in the morning on Wednesday, served as a Minister of State for External Affair in the United Progressive Alliance government and has been a Lok Sabha member since 1991.
