Lucknow: It seems like that Lucknow is going to be hub of sports activities as the upcoming and on ongoing under construction international level cricket stadium will have cricket museum on the pattern of Lord’s cricket ground which will attract visitors.
This cricket stadium is expected to be ready by the end of 2016, December and will be situated at posh area in Gomtinagar extension.
Lucknow Development Authority vice chairman Satyendra Singh said in a statement “The museum will have replica of trophies won by Indian team, jerseys of Indian cricket teams, autographed bats by some of big cricketers, T-shirts of players and many such other valuable things can be seen in stadium’s museum”.
Not only this visitor can also see documentaries and some of winning moments from some of best matches.
The LDA has taken this decision in a meeting to set-up museum after visiting some of best cricket stadiums throughout world.
“The museum will also have souvenirs like the one issued by the Indian postal department during 2015 World Cup and books penned by cricketers will also be available here,” said an LDA official.
Keeping in mind comfort of visitors and spectators Italian chairs will be installed at pavilion and stands will be made in such a way so that handicap persons will not face any problem after visiting stadium.
The stadium will have some other facilities like food courts and lounges with dinner hall, conference room and washrooms in every block will also be made available at the premises.
Spread in a sprawling area of 71 acres, the international cricket stadium and sports complex will also have a sports academy, indoor multi-sports stadium, outdoor multi-sports stadium, the sports academy in the area.
