Maid gangraped by four persons for three months

Thane: In a shocking incident a 45-year-old maid servant was allegedly gangraped repeatedly over a period of three months by four persons in Maharashtra’s Thane, police said today.

According to the victim who lodges the complaint with the police yesterday, the accused identified as Ulhas More, Ganesh More, Nikunj Rawal and Deepak Shah-first raped her in September after she saw one of them in a compromising position with his wife at their residence in Ulhasnagar and went talking about it to others.

The talk irked all the six members (four accused and wives of two of them) in the house who were all living together following which the four sexually assaulted the domestic help taking turns, police said quoting the complaint.

The accused also threatened victim with dire consequences if she revealed anything. However, when the torture continued for three months, she filed a complaint with police yesterday.

The Vitthalwadi police under Ulhasnagar division have registered an offence under sections 376, 376 (D), 342, 506(2) rw 34 of the IPC against all the four accused alongwith two women (spouses of two accused) in the house.

PSI C N Khuspe of Vitthalwadi police station said that of the six booked, Ganesh More was arrested last night while hunt is on for others, who are still at large.
