Mamata lashes out at Modi, says more than 100 killed due to demonetisation

Kolkata: In yet another scathing attack on the Prime Minister Natrendra Modi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today stated that more than 100 people have lost their lives all across the nation subsequent to the demonetization move taken by the government.



Government decided to ban the Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 notes on November 8 and that led to the cashless crises all across the nation.

Mamata Banerjee took on to the micro blogging website Twitter and stated: “How many more every day Modi babu.”

West Bengal Chief Minister showed her concern regarding the list of 100 people who had supposedly died while standing in bank or ATM queues or committed suicide after they felt their problems were not been sorted subsequent the demonetization move.

Mamata conveyed her worry over alleged political discrimination among states and decided to write to the RBI Governor Urjit Patel to know “the nature of allocation of new currency” to each state.
