Mamta Kulkarni accused in Rs 2000 crore drug racket: Thane Police

Mumbai: On Saturday, in a new development, Thane Police named former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni as an accused in a drug racket which was busted around two months back. Reports are that the actress might be served with a Red Corner Notice by the Interpol against her.

As of now, 10 have been nabbed by the police in what is said to be India’s biggest drug racket. Previously, Mamta’s husband, Vicky Goswami was the only one to be named in the case, however now; Thane CP Paramvir Singh said that investigation reveals that apart from Vicky, Mamta too was one of the masterminds behind the drug racket.

The Thane CP further said that Mamta was present at the meeting in Kenya and that 100 kgs of Ephedrine was sent to Africa.

As of now, few Bollywood stars have also come under scanner and the police is investigating them.

In April, Thane Police busted a drug racket which led them to Kulkarni’s husband who is an international drug mafia and seized around 20 tonnes of ephedrine which cost around Rs 2,000 crore.
