Mayawati accuses BJP of promoting Hindutva

Azamgarh (Uttar Pradesh): Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mayawati today took on the BJP governments at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh and accused them of promoting Hindutva and spreading RSS ideology.

Mayawati was present a public rally and there while addressing people she mentioned that the BJP governments in states were out to promote Hindutva agenda and hurting the country’s secular fabric.

She also accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of oppressing and targeting the minorities and Dalits. Notifying to the caste conflict in Shabbirpur village in Saharanpur, Mayawati said Dalits were attacked there and mentioned that at the time when she put an effort to raise the issue in the Rajya Sabha, she was not permitted to so the same and was forced her to resign from the Upper House. The BSP leader also alleged that the BJP had conspired to physically harm her.
