Mayawati Slur Row: BJP women workers hold protests against BSP in Lucknow

Lucknow: Brawl between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) seems to worsen as the women workers, supporters and leaders of the BJP came down on the streets today protesting against the offensive remarks made by the BSP leaders.

During protests, the BJP women supporters walked down the streets with playcards in their hands, raising slogans against the former UP CM. They even tried to break the barricades put up by the police.

Reportedly, the protests come from BJP against the BSP leaders for getting personal and dragging the family members of the expelled UP BJP VP Dayashankar Singh in this political fight.

BJP secretary, Anupama jaiswal said, “We are demanding the immediate dismissal of BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui from the post of the Leader of Opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council and his arrest along with other BSP leaders.”

Today, thousands of BJP women workers marched down on the streets of the city. BJP MP, from the state, legislators, municipal corporation chairpersons and public representatives from the state also joined the protest.

Singh has been expelled from the party for six years for comparing BSP supremo Mayawati with a ‘prostitute’. The comment led to massive protests by the BSP supporters demanding arrest of Singh.
