Militant attacks army convoy in Kashmir valley, three soldiers injured

Srinagar: Militants attacked an army convoy today in Kashmir’s Kupwara district resulting in injuries of three soldiers, one of them is critical in condition.

Militants fired on the army convoy at Handwara in Kupwara district, resulting in injuries to the two soldiers, the officials said.

According to army officials, militants attacked the convoy at Kralgund near Handwara town.

A senior official said, one was in critical condition out of the three and was airlifted to the Army Hospital in Srinagar.

They said the militants fled the scene after carrying out the attack. An operation has been launched to track down the militants, they added.
