Mishap at MY Hospital, 17 dead due to oxygen cut

New Delhi: According to the reports, as many as 17 people lost their lives in a drastic incident that took place in Indore’s MY hospital due to the negligence by the hospital staff. The key reason behind the mishap was cutting of the oxygen supply that resulted in the loss of lives of several patients.

As per the sources: “The oxygen supply was mysteriously disrupted for around 15 minutes between 3a.m and 4a.m on Thursday, leading to the deaths of the patients.”

The hospital administration has refused to claim that the deaths happened because of the lack of oxygen and said that in big hospitals, deaths happen on routine basis. However, some highly placed sources in the hospital confirmed that there was “disruption” in oxygen supply around 3 a.m.

On asking about the incident the hospital administration went on to say that every day 60-70 patients are put on oxygen, which is supplied by pipe in almost all wards. If the oxygen supply had been cut off, the rest of the patients should also have died.

This incident has surely landed hospital in trouble and image of the hospital might be tainted due to this mishap.
