Modi completes comprehensive five nation’s tour

Mexico: Prime Minster Narendra Modi is on way back to India after completing his five nation tour of Afghanistan, Qatar, Switzerland, United States and Mexico on Thursday.

The PM tweeted “Thank you Mexico”, a new era in India and Mexico ties has begun and this relationship is going to benefit our people and the entire world.”

The official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, Vikas Swarup tweeted “Five days, five countries! After a productive visit to Mexico, the last leg of this journey, PM departs for Delhi.”

Modi official tour begins on June 4 with Modi’s aim to boost moral ties with countries like Afghanistan, Qatar, Switzerland, United States and Mexico.

PM visits have some special purpose to visit these countries were the backing of two key Nuclear Suppliers Group members-Switzerland and Mexico- for India’s bid to become member of 48th nation.

The PM also holds brief talks with United States President Barack Obama at his official residence White House. The US has recognised India as “major defence partner”.
