Sidhu’s resignation comes on the first day of the Monsoon Session in the Parliament, thus creating a panic within the party.

Sidhu was recently appointed as the MP of the Upper House. Him joining AAP comes as of result of Kejriwal’s statement last year in which he had said that he would welcome Sidhu if the latter wanted to join them. Reports are that AAP wanted a strong face to contest in Punjab Polls.
