Nawaz Sharif warns India not to take Pakistan’s peaceful intent as weakness

Islamabad: The Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today condemned the attack of Indian army troops on Pakistani soldiers in which two of their military men were killed during gunfight at LoC, and warned India not to check the level of their tolerance

Sharif condemned and said that what he called was an “unprovoked and naked aggression” by Indian forces. He also warned India not to take Pakistan’s peaceful intent “as our weakness”.

His reaction came minutes after India announced today that it carried out surgical strikes across the LoC on Wednesday night.

Pakistan radio channel quoted him as saying that the Indian operation led to the death of two Pakistani soldiers.

The Prime Minister said, “Our intent for peaceful neighbourhood should not be mistaken as our weakness as our valiant forces are fully capable of defending the territorial integrity of our country.”

He said Pakistan can “thwart any evil design made to undermine the sovereignty of Pakistan”.
