NCR’s second airport to be made in Jewar

New Delhi: Three years from now, Jewar, Uttar Pradesh will be having the second international airport of the National Capital Region (NCR).

In a key decision taken by the Civil Aviation Ministry the news of setting up an international airport at Jewar in Gautam Budh Nagar district has been confirmed.

The accessibility of land in the required area and forthcoming Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh may have heavily twisted the balance in Jewar’s favour.

Earlier, Jewar was competing with Bhiwadi in Haryana for the second international airport in the region.
