Nepal and China to hold first time joint military exercise early 2017

China: China and Nepal will be conducting their first ever joint military drill early in the beginning of 2017. Yang Yujun, Chinese Defence Ministry Spokesperson went on to say that, China and Nepal will soon begin on the military exercise and had been in ‘initial communication’, the further more details would be released in due course of time.

Even though Nepal has already been holding joint military exercises with other countries that includes India and United States but this will be the first time when Nepal would be holding joint military exercise with China.

As per the reports, the military exercise will be focusing on the training of the Nepali soldiers in dealing with internal situation involving the international terror group. The joint military exercise between China and Nepal will be held in February next year.

According to the reports, the new development is seen as China’s growing interest in the Himalayan republic since the worsening of relations between Nepal and India due to the border barricade last year.
