Lucknow: On Monday, following the orders of the Allahabad HC, the Akhilesh Yadav government sacked the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Noida, Greater Noida and the Yamuna Expressway Authority, Rama Raman.
The orders to stop the CEO from all the work came after the direction of the Allahabad High Court which questioned the government over their authorization of Rama Raman as the CEO of three authorities together.
The court in its order last week, restricted Raman from his office which he has been charge of for the past seven years. The court at the same time questioned the government if they could not find anyone better to replace him.
Rama Raman was appointed during the Maywati government in 2010.
As of now, the charge of the three authorities has been given to Principal Secretary (Power) and Chairman of the UP Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) Sanjay Agarwal.
