NEW DELHI: India keep on gathering additional troops and weapon systems on the complete eastern front, with China also not showing any hint of slowing down on the Doklam standoff.
If sources are to be believed, a top-level flag meeting between major-general rank officers from both countries was held few days back.
But the meeting was not successful with China remaining adamant that India should immediately withdraw its troops from Doklam.
On the other hand, Indian side said China should first get rid of its road construction equipment from the site.
The meeting between two countries clearly pinpoints a line of communication at the ground level.
Talking about the eastern theatre, this primarily consists of 33 Corps headquartered in Sukna, with the 17 (Gangtok), 27 (Kalimpong) and 20 (Binnaguri) Mountain Divisions under its control.
India has remain largely tight-lipped regarding the entire faceoff from the starting itself.
