Novak Djokovic wins 4th Roger Cup title


Toranto: World No. 1 tennis player Serbia, Novak Djokovic today claimed his fourth $ 4, 178, 500 Rogers Cup title by defeating Japan’s Kel Nishikori in straight sets 6-3, 7-5.

According to Xinhua reports, the Sunday’s victory of Djokovic was his 30th ATP Masters title which extends his records over Spain’s Rafael Nadal’s 28 career titles and Switzerland’s Roger Federer’s 22th.

In a very small match of 32 minutes only Djokovic continues his supremacy in the game, with his win he remains on No. 1 position for 108 consecutive weeks.

Djokovic has won six out of nine Grand Slam events and reached finals for 14 times from his last 15 ATP Masters 100 Events played, from which he has won 11.

Novak told the media following the win, “After Grand Slams, these are the biggest events we have in sport of tennis.”
