Nurses in Amritsar hold protests against Kapil Sharma|Read to know why

Amritsar: Stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma became a household name with his reality show ‘Comedy Night With Kapil’. However, as Kapil left the show following dispute with the producers, his fans were waiting eagerly for his new show ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. As of now, everyone is enjoying this new show; however its content seems to have not gone well with some!

As per reports, on Tuesday, the nursing and the paramedical staff of government Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, Amritsar held a protest against Kapil Sharma for showing the profession of nurse in a bad light. Protests were held outside the hospital. The angry protesters were also seen tearing posters of the comedian.

The protesting nurses have alleged that Kapil in his show has not only shown their profession in a bad light but has also passed derogatory remarks to defame it, thereby demanding to stop its telecast at once.

The protest was led by Punjab Nursing Association President Raj Bedi, who even wrote a complaint to nearby police station and demanded registration of criminal case against him.
