New Delhi: For a big boost to parents celebrity nutritionist Pooja Makhija to help them emerge victorious over the ultimate child-rearing battleground-the dinner table and had written a book on the subject.
The book has been given the name of “Eat Delete Junior” which will be published by HarperCollins India in May next year.
The book mitigates the excitement and misunderstanding surrounding child nutrition.
It will teach parents how to inculcate correct eating habits in their children so minor ailments are nipped in the bud, thus reducing dependence on doctors and nutritionists, the publisher says.
Makhija, says “Looking forward to a great run; or, even better, a great print run!”.
According to Commissioning Editor of HarperCollins India, Debasri Rakshit, “In these times when the nature of parenting is changing so quickly and there is added pressure on families that have easy access to junk food, the health of children and adolescents has become a subject of increasing attention.
“‘Eat Delete Junior’ stepped in with invaluable advice and tips from a nutritionist and mother on the obvious traps of obesity and ill-heath. We’re delighted to work with Pooja again and on such an important subject.”
Makhija, nutritionist to the likes of Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Sushmita Sen, had earlier authored “Eat Delete”.
