Pakistan is not hell, says Kannada actress Ramya

Bengaluru: Kannada film actress turned politician Divya Spandana popularly known by her stage name as Ramya, is facing trolled on social media for praising Pakistan by mentioning ‘Pakistan is not hell’.

Ramya, has been slapped with a sedition case who has been trolled on social media for her ‘Pakistan is not hell’ remark.

The case has been filed against her in the court of the Judicial Magistrate First Class, who has been quoted by reports as saying that he is ‘appalled’ that Ramya praised Pakistanis.

Ramya, a member of the Congress Party recently returned from Islamabad, after attending the SAARC Young Parliamentarians Conference 2016.

Ramya had said after she returned from Islamabad, ‘Pakistan is not hell. People there are just like us. They treated us very well’.

Her comment came incidentally after Defence Minister; Manohar Parrikar had said that ‘entering Pakistan was like entering hell’.
