Pakistani Rangers continues unprovoked shelling at border in Kashmir

Jammu: Unprovoked shelling resorted from Pakistan Rangers today evening at Indian positions on the International Border near the Line of Control (Loc) in Jammu and Kashmir’s R.S. Pura sector.

According to police said the shelling and firing took place in Abdullian area.

A police spokesman said, “Pakistan Rangers used mortars and automatics to target Indian positions. This started around 7.15 p.m. and was continuing when last reports came in.”

“They tried to target some vehicles moving on the Indian side,” the officer said, adding that the Border Security Force “effectively retaliated”.

No casualty or damage has been reported on the Indian side.
