Pardaphash Special: Tough days ahead for Geelani

Srinagar: Pardaphash has full evidence that the NIA, investigating seven top Hurriyat separatists regarding accusations of terror financing in Jammu & Kashmir, has shortlisted more than 10 properties allegedly owned by the head Syed Ali Shah Geelani and his family members.

According to the sources, the shortlisted properties are in the vicinity of Rs 100 crore to Rs 150 crore.

The list of properties includes educational institutions, residences and agricultural lands in Kashmir and flats in Delhi allegedly owned by Geelani, his two sons, Naseem and Nayeem, and daughters Anisha, Farhat, Zamshida, and Chamshida.

On top of the ladder is a prime seven-acre land which houses one Unique Public School at Dooru village in Baramullah.

Since Geelani is growing old, his main agenda at this juncture is the land to be bequeathed to his family members.

Naseem cannot become chairman of school because of protests, but he was made a life-long patron of the school.
