Parliament adjourned till Monday over release of security video by Bhagwant Mann

New Delhi: The proceedings of Parliament of India today was adjourned till Monday by the Speaker Sumitra Mahajan after uproar was raised by Parliamentarians over demanding immediate action against Aam Admi Party (AAP) member Bhagwant Mann for circulating a video of security zones in Parliament’s premises yesterday.

Bhagwant Mann on Friday appeared before Lok Sabha Speaker after being summoned following his controversial video on the high security Parliament House complex was released on Facebook by him on Thursday.

The Speaker Sumitra Mahajan asked his explanation on the video and Mann gave his views, according to sources in the Lok Sabha Secretariat.

Basically, Mann gives a running commentary as his vehicle crosses security barricades and enters Parliament in the nearly 12-minute video. “I’ll today show you something you would not have seen earlier,” he is heard saying in the video.

Later, Mann was then shown entering a room where questions to be taken up inside Parliament are being sorted and he describes the process.

The issue later led to the adjournment of House, first for an hour during Question Hour and then the house has been adjourned till Monday.
