PM asks BJP MPs, MLAs to give details of their bank transaction

New Delhi: India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asked all the BJP MPs and MLAs to give details of their bank transactions done between November 8th and December 31st.

According to sources, the Prime Minister’s instruction came at a BJP Parliamentary Party meeting held in New Delhi.

Modi asked the BJP lawmakers to submit the details to party President Amit Shah.

The PM announced the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes on November 8 and December 30 is the deadline for submitting the banned notes to banks.

Modi also discarded allegations that the Income Tax Amendment Bill was tabled in the Lok Sabha on Monday and was aimed at converting black money into white.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar told reporters, “The PM described the move as a fight against black money and said it is for the welfare of poor.”

Modi also urged from everyone to support India in making a digital and cashless economy.

He further said, “The Prime Minister wants to make the country a cashless society and sought everyone’s support.”
