PM Modi calls meet for ‘self appraisals’, outcome may lead to Cabinet Reshuffle

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi is up with another code of correct conduct, this time he asked his ministers to present ‘self appraisal’ report at the meeting scheduled on June 30. PM called for this meet amid much speculations of cabinet reshuffle.

Confirming the same, a source close to the development said, “There was talk that the June 30 meeting may be an appraisal exercise that can lead to a cabinet reshuffle.”

As revealed by the top government sources, PM Modi wants his ministers to make a presentation about their performance since the BJP government presented its second budget.

This might end up many rave speculations about a cabinet reshuffle which was likely to take place before monsoon session of the parliament, the presentation of the ‘self appraisal’ by the ministers mainly focuses on giving representation to UP and Punjab which are presumed to conduct assembly polls next year.

PM Modi might want to assure the fidelity of their government to the voters of the respective states by reviewing the performance of his ministers which will mainly focus on fast track implementation of significant government schemes to ensure visible results before the next round of crucial 2017 state polls.

An official said, “A “bitter but healthy” competition is going on among the ministries and departments to get the best rating on the MyGov portal.”
