New Delhi: On Wednesday, the nation paid homage to the former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, also known as ‘Missile Man’ on his first death anniversary.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and paid tribute to Kalam.

Apart from him many other political personalities including BJP President Amit Shah, and Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Rajye among others took to Twitter and remembered Dr Kalam today.

Also, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will on July 30 inaugurate a memorial to the former President of India at Delhi Haat.

Today, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar also announced the laying of foundation stone for a memorial to the Bharat Ratna nominee at Ramesharam, Tamil Nadu today where his mortal remains were laid to rest.
Kalam died of massive cardiac arrest on July 27, 2015.
