PM Modi pays homage to martyrs on 17th Kargil Vijay Diwas

New Delhi: On 17th Kargil Vijay Diwas, the nation pays tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting in the war which went on for two months in Jammu and Kashmir.

Also, PM Narendra Modi remembered the sacrifices made by Indian soldiers and paid tribute to them in a series of tweets.

PM Modi wrote, “I bow to every valiant soldier who fought for India till very last breath. Their heroic sacrifices inspire us.”

“India will never forget the fearlessness with which our courageous soldiers gave a befitting & unforgettable reply to the intruders.”

“We recall with pride, the firmness demonstrated by India’s political leadership in 1999, which ensured a decisive victory in Kargil.”

Apart from PM Modi, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Army Chief Dalbir Singh Suhag, Air Chief Marshal paid tribute to the martyrs of the Kargil War.

Families of the soldiers also remembered their loved ones on this day.
