PM Modi reaches Afghanistan, to inaugurate India-Afghan Friendship Dam

New Delhi:  On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in Afghanistan’s Heart. Here, he would launch the India-Afghan Friendship Dam. The dam was earlier known as ‘Salma’ and has been re-built with the help of India’s national capital.

As per reports, after inaugurating the dam, PM Modi will hold a meet with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani during which they would discuss on the various issues including the current situation in Afghanistan. Following this PM Modi will attend the lunch hosted by Afghan Prez and then head for Doha Qatar where he would meet the Qatari Prime Minister Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Also, he would visit an Indian workers’ camp in Doha

The multi-purpose project will help irrigate 75,000 hectares of land and generate 42 mega watt power and apart from this it will also help supply water to the local people.

Narendra Modi is on a five nation tour to – Afghanistan, Qatar, Switzerland, the US and Mexico.
