PM Modi to break historical trend, will celebrate Dussehra in Lucknow

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate Dussehra festival for the first time in Lucknow outside the national capital Delhi.

Modi will be breaking 60-year-old trend as Prime Minister’s use to mark the beginning of Dussehra festival in the national capital every year, but Modi is set to celebrate the festival in Lucknow this time.

According to PMO sources, Modi will participate in the Ramleela programme at Aishbagh in Lucknow on October 11.

The Prime Minister’s decision is being seen as a masterstroke by political analysts as the capital of politics Uttar Pradesh is going to polls next year.

Modi has celebrated the Dussehra festival at the popular Subhash Maidan and Ramleela Maidan in Delhi since assuming power in 2014.

It seems like that Modi is following the footstep of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as he too would celebrate festivals in Lucknow because of he was elected to Lok Sabha from this constituency.
