Geneva (Switzerland): Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on a five nation tour will today hold a meeting with the President of Swiss Confederation Johann Schneider Ammann in Geneva. As per reports, the leaders of the two nations will discuss on bilateral, regional and multilateral issues.
Along with this, PM Modi will also talk about the issue of black money which has been secretly hidden by the Indians in Swiss Banks. The 65-year-old will also seek Switzerland’s support for India’s membership of the 48-member Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG).

Apart from this, the Prime Minister will also meet a selected group of Switzerland business leaders. Last night, Modi reached Geneva soon after his visit to Afghanistan and Qatar. Indian Prime Minister is visiting Switzerland for the first time on a state visit almost after five decades.
The visit is very important from India’s point of view it seeks membership which will thereby help access technology and meet its climate change commitments with clean energy and stability and the ease of doing business, irrespective of the political dispensation.
In the evening today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will reach Washington. This is his fourth visit to the United States. The main objective of PM’s US visit is to consolidate the progress made in diverse areas such as economy, energy, environment, defence, security along with future co-operation.
