PM Modi worn monogrammed suit enters Guinness Book of World Records

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monogrammed suit that he wore during his meet with the American President Barack Obama is once again in news and this time for all the good reasons. As per reports, it has entered the Guinness Book of World Records as ‘the most expensive suit sold’.

The suit put up for sale for Rs 43,131,311 at an auction and was purchased by a resident of Surat, Laljibhai Tulsibai Patel. Also, the amount generated from the sale of the suit is sent to the Namami Gange Fund to clean the Ganga River.

The suit garnered a lot of attraction as it had the name of PM Modi all over it. PM Modi faced a lot of criticism for wearing the suit and many even called it a publicity gimmick.

Congress VP, Rahul Gandhi said that the suit was not ‘Made In India’ but ‘Made In UK’ whereas Congress leader Jairam Ramesh called Modi melodramatic.

As per reports, the suit worth Rs 10 lakh was gifted to PM Modi by a fan.
