Popular actress Himani Shivpuri joins BJP before 2017 elections

Dehradun: Popular face from Hindi television industry, actress Himani Shivpuri today joined Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).

Himani who hails from Uttarakhand, keeping next year’s assembly elections in the state in mind has joined BJP today.

The actress joined the party in the presence of state BJP vice president Jyoti Prasad Gairola and organisational secretary Naresh Bansal last evening at its state office.

She said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision and leadership had drawn her to the party.

Himani further said, “I completely believe in the leadership and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it is because of this that I have joined the BJP.”

When media persons asked her whether she will contest the upcoming state elections, she said she will take up any role assigned to her by the party leadership.

Himani has done character roles in a number of Bollywood hits and TV soaps. She was born and brought up in Dehradun.
