Rahul Gandhi begins ‘Deoria to Dilli yatra’ targeting UP polls 2017

Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today began his 2,500-km “yatra” or journey from Deoria in eastern UP. Approximately 2,000 khaats or cots will be kept at a ground in Rudrapur of Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh.

Meeting with farmers is one of the key motive behind the Yatra that is been conducted as the “khaat sabha” is part of an extensive tour of Uttar Pradesh carried out by the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi.

Yatra will be focused at revitalizing the party cadre and notifying voters that the Congress is making a real bid at winning the state after 27 years.

Talking about the same Gandhi stated: “My yatra from Deoria to Delhi starting September 6 is a campaign to secure the rights of the poor, farmers and labourers in government resources.”
