New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today again attacked on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s currency demonetization policy by saying that if I will speak on the subject in the Parliament then there will be an earthquake among the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
Rahul gave this statement while addressing media persons after a protest to observe a ‘Black Day’ against demonetization during the Winter Session at Parliament House.
He warned government that an ‘earthquake’ will come if he is allowed to speak on demonetization in Parliament.
Gandhi told reporters, “The government is running away from the debate…if they allow me to speak then you will see what an earthquake will come.”
The Congress Vice President further added, “Ye Hindustan ki history ka sabse bada scam hai…main Lok Sabha mein bolna chata hoon. Wahan sab bataonga (This is the biggest scam in the history of India. I want to speak in Lok Sabha. I will tell everything there).”
Gandhi was quoted saying by news agency, “PM poore desh mein bhashan de rahe hain magar Lok Sabha mein aane se darrte hain. Itni ghabrahat kyun (PM gives speeches all across the country but is scared to come to Lok Sabha. Why is he afraid?).”
Interestingly, the demonetisation row has rocked both Houses of Parliament in the ongoing winter session. While the debate has been kick started in both Houses, it has not seen a logical conclusion or a statement from the prime minister.
