Rahul Gandhi denied permission at RML hospital to meet ex-soldier’s kin

New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi today denied entry at the Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital in New Delhi today by the police and he was not allowed to meet the family members of retired army soldier who committed suicide behind the implementation of ‘One-Rank One-Pension’ (OROP).

Police today prevented Rahul Gandhi from meeting the family of a retired soldier who committed suicide demanding OROP’s implementation.

Police closed the gates of the RML hospital here when Gandhi went to meet the kin of Ram Kishan Grewal.

An upset Gandhi told the media: “It is an undemocratic mentality. A new kind of India is being created. It is Modiji’s India.”

Grewal killed himself at a park here on Tuesday, police said.
