Rain in North India, Himachal sees heavy snowfall

Shimla: Several areas of North India recorded heavy rainfall as showers drenched Lucknow and national capital Delhi as well.

On the other hand Manali in Himachal Pradesh saw more snowfall on Friday while several regions in Shimla and Dalhousie recorded rain.

As per the information given by the Met official, following widespread snow and rain, temperatures dipped below freezing point at many places in the Himachal Pradesh.

Keylong recorded minus 2.7 degrees Celsius while Kalpa recorded a minimum temperature of minus one degree Celsius with 19 cm of snowfall. Minimum temperature was 6.8 degrees Celsius in Dharamsala.

While Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh today saw heavy rainfall resulting in the dip in temperature. In the last few days here the temperatures had risen drastically making it hotter than normal but the fine amount of rainfall brought the temperature down today morning.
