Rainfall in Gurgaon causes heavy traffic jam ; schools closed for 2 days

New Delhi: Heavy showers bring life to standstill in Gurgaon. Also, excessive flooding is also witnessed due to the over flow in the Badshahpur drain. On Friday, water logging on the Delhi-Jaipur highway led to heavy traffic jam in Gurgaon.

Also, the current situation is so bad that the police have also advised the Delhi people to not come down to Gurgaon in order to avoid getting stuck in the traffic jams. School here will remain closed for two days.

Gurgaon Police is not allowing heavy traffic to pass from the Hero Honda Chowk on HH8 as the area is flooded. Also, the traffic along the NH8 from Delhi to Rajiv Chowk is moving very slowly.

To keep commuters informed about the traffic here, the Gurgaon Police is sharing updates on its official Twitter account.

Reports are that the there were few people who were stuck in the traffic jam for the past 6-7 hours.

The commuters who were caught in the traffic had an outburst on the administration, however there were many who praised the Gurgaon Police’s effort to control the traffic.
