Reports of gunfire at Los Angeles International Airport, a fake alarm: LA Police

Los Angeles: Late in the night on Saturday, the Police here confirmed that neither any gun shots were fired nor any gunman was found at the LA International Airport. The police further mentioned that it was the loud noises that scared the people.

The terminals at the Airport here were evacuated sometime before the police cleared that the reports of gunfire were false.

Commanding officer of media relations for the Los Angeles Police Department, Andy Neiman in his Twitter message wrote that no one was injured in the incident and that a probe is underway. As per Officer Alicia Hernandez of the LAX police, two terminals at the airport were evacuated and that security personnel carried out a check so as to look for anything that was suspicious.

Videos on the social media show people gathered on a runaway and also outside the terminals of airport.

The Los Angeles airport is one of the busiest airports in the world.
