Republic Day: National Security Guard commandos debut at Republic Day parade

New Delhi: India’s National Security Guard (NSG) today made their debut at the Republic Day parade comprising of a contingent of 60 commandoes in their black overalls and full armed gear doing a march on the Rajpath.

The group of National Security Guard (NSG) gave their salute to President Pranab Mukherjee while there were other commandos on seven vehicles with hydraulic ladders on them.

NSG’s anti-hijacking van ‘Sherpa’ – a bullet proof armoured vehicle that can withstand powerful explosions and can be driven under water and on steep inclines – also made its debut in the parade.
