Rio Paralympics feat continues as Devendra Jhajharia bags gold

India’s brilliant run at the 2016 Rio Paralympics continues as another gold was added to the Indian medal tally with Devendra Jhajharia winning gold in Javelin event.

Devendra went on to pass his own world record to win gold in the men’s javelin throw F46 event.

He had previously won gold in the javelin event at the 2004 Athens Paralympics with a record throw of 62.15 metres, becoming only the second gold medallist at the Paralympics for his country.

At the moment with his superb run in the Javelin arena, 36-year-old is ranked third in the world.
