Melbourne: Sania Mirza played brilliantly to make it into the women’s doubles third round at the Australian Open tennis tournament.
While on the other hand it was Rohan Bopanna who could not keep his good show and was knocked out in his men’s doubles match.
Sania played outstandingly with Czech partner Barbora Strycova to defeat Australian-Chinese pair of Samantha Stosur and Shuai Zhang 6-1, 6-4.
The match went for an hour and 21 minutes and resulted in Sania-Barbora win against Australian-Chinese pair.
On the other hand Bopanna and his Uruguayan partner Pablo Cuevas lost to unseeded Australian pair of Alex Bolt and Bradley Mousley in the second round 6-2, 6-7 (2), 4-6.
