New Delhi: Former India all-rounder Sanjay Bangar was today chosen as the national head coach for Indian team that will be heading the limited overs tour of Zimbabwe commencing June 11.
BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke stated: “Sanjay Bangar has been appointed as the head coach of the Indian cricket team for the forthcoming tour to Zimbabwe, comprising three One-Day International matches and three T20 international matches to be played in Harare.”
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also announced that former cricketer Koka Ramesh will tour with the men in blue as administrative manager while Abhay Sharma has been appointed as the fielding coach of the team. Abhay Sharma, the ex-domestic cricketer was named fielding coach by The Board of Control for Cricket in India.
India will play will play Zimbabwe in three ODIs and as many T20Is in Harare.
