Sanjay Leela Bhansali attacked, shooting of ‘Padmavati’ halted

In a shocking incident that took place yesterday, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been attacked by activists of a Rajput community group at the time when shooting of his upcoming movie “Padmavati” was going on.

The set of the movie was damaged by the group of activists at Jaigarh Fort, of Jaipur and the director was assaulted in a very disrespectful manner.

Bollywood has come in the support of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and has condemned the attack.
Actress Sonam Kapoor took to micro blogging website Twitter and stated: “What happened on Padmavati sets is appalling and heinous. Is this the state of the world?”



Music composer Vishal Dadlani wrote: “Sick! #SanjayLeelaBhansali one of our most respected filmmakers, attacked on his set. Hope the film industry comes together against this!”
