Sex racket busted in Punjab, seven women rescued

Moga (Punjab): The Punjab police have cracked down a flash trade racket (sex racket) which was run by thirteen persons, including seven women in Moga district of the state, police said today.

After getting feedback from police informer, the police put on raids at two different hotels last night and have arrested at least thirteen persons, including seven women who were running this sex racket along with owner of the hotel.

Police said that those who were arrested are in the age group of in between 20 to 30 years. They were arrested under the Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act (ITPA).

The police have also arrested owners of the two different hotels Sukhcharan Singh and Varinder Singh in connection with the running of sex racket from their hotels.
