Shameful! 20 Dalits attacked in Gujarat’s Una again, 8 injured

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his previous address had asked the people to stop attacking the Dalits, however looks like his request has been ignored as another incident has come to the fore.

As per reports, on Monday evening around twenty Dalits were attacked by a mob at Samter village near Una in Gujarat as they were coming back to their home after attending a ‘Dalit Sammelan’.

The victims further said that the attackers hail from Samter village and they carried out this attack to take revenge of the 12 people who were arrested in connection with Una Dalit Case, in which seven youths of the community were assaulted for supposedly killing and later skinning the cow.

The Dalits had gone to participate in the flag hoisting event. Jawaharlal Nehru University student Kanhaiya Kumar was also present at this event.

The attacks on the Dalits have been also criticized by the other political parties.
