Sheena Killing: Rakesh Maria not keen to probe further?

Mumbai: The sensational Sheena Bora murder case took a new twist with the appointment of new Mumbai Police Chief Javed Ahmed on Tuesday. Amid several reports regarding the change of the probe team, ex Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria has reportedly said that he is not much interested in handling the Sheena killing case.

Maria even said that a section of IPS officers lobby was against him. Though, any confirmation regarding the reports has not come yet from Maria.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day Maria foiled media reports of his resignation.

He said, “I am not thinking of resigning. Reports saying so are not true.”

Maria, who was heading the high-profile Sheena Bora murder case, was promoted as Director General of Police Home Guards.

He was replaced by Ahmed Javed, a DG-rank official, who took over as Mumbai Police Commissioner in the upgraded post.
