Six dead, seven injured in Rajasthan road mishap

Rajasthan: According to the information given by the police, in an incident that took place today near Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh district that killed at least six people and seven others got injured when a jeep hit a truck.

The accident occurred around 6 a.m. The speeding jeep carrying women passengers on a pilgrimage hit a parked truck from behind and the driver was also injured.

While talking to the media, a senior police officer went on to say: “Five women lost their lives on the spot. One was declared dead later while being treated.”

All the seven injured, including the driver, have been referred to a government hospital in Udaipur, the officer said.
