Smriti Irani jibes Rahul Gandhi’s elevation in Congress, says it means ache din for BJP

New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s elevation reports saw Union Minister Smriti Irani hitting on him by saying that his elevation in the party will mean ‘ache din’ for BJP.

In a statement to a daily, Smriti Irani said, “Rahul Gandhi being elevated as Congress president means ‘achhe din’ for us (BJP).”

The Gandhi scion’s elevation to the post of party president have been doing rounds for quite some time now, with the recent ones being in full swing, however Congress dismissed any such report.

Also, Congress’s longest serving President, Sonia Gandhi who was on a visit to her constituency, Rae Bareli, remained tight-lipped about the same. When the media present questioned Sonia about Rahul being elevated in the party, she just turned a deaf ear and got inside her car without answering their question.

Recently, Sonia also attacked PM Narendra-Modi led BJP government and called the Prime Minister as ‘Shahenshah’.
