Sourav Ganguly receiving death threats

Kolkata: Former Indian cricket team skipper Sourav Ganguly today confirmed that he has received anonymous deaths threats on January 5th.

Ganguly who is currently serving as the President of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), today said that he has informed Kolkata police but has not lodge any formal complaint in this regards.

He said that he has received death threat related to his visit Midnapore University where he has to attend a felicitation ceremony on January 19th.

Ganguly told media persons that he has informed the Midnapore police and the university authorities about the same.

When media persons asked him that will he be now going to Midnapore University to attend the function, Ganguly said that he has not decided till yet whether he will be attending the felicitation or not.

He spoke to reporters after a working committee meeting of the CAB called to discuss implementing the Lodha Commission’s recommendations.
