Stay away from hoaxes and paid news ahead of polls: Parrikar

Panaji: Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today stated that as the polls are nearing there would be lot of attempts made to rake up the doubts and hoaxes and BJP workers should be cautious of paid news also.

“I am reminding you once again, ahead of the forthcoming poll, some people are trying to rake up doubts and as elections are close several campaigns will start. Paid news will start too,” Parrikar said on Saturday at the Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Caste morcha meeting held in Porvorim, near Panaji.

“Fresh issues will be raised. My only request is stay away from these hoaxes. Judge the performance of political parties using on ground performance as a parameter,” Parrikar said.
